Question:

How can I take care of my mother in the future?

My mother is 46 years old now and is divorced. She takes care of me and my brothers everyday; cooking, cleaning and lots more. I've never really said thank you or anything because I feel kind of awkward just thinking about it. Sometimes I just watch her cook and try and help. But she doesn't really take too kindly to help.

What can I do in the future when I am married/living by myself to help her in life? Like with her phone and internet. Technology and such. If I were living in a flat, would it be appriopriate to buy her one near my one? That way I can check on her daily, but we both have space.

Any ideas?

  1. Boy, it is refreshing to see that there is a young man out there who is concerned for their mother the way that you seem to be. The best thing that you can do for her is to let her know that you appreciate all that she does for you and that you are there for her both physically and emotionally. She does things on her own to prove to herself that she can handle all that she has been given, that she can be strong and independent. Even at that there will be a time when she needs you to be there for her.

  2. It is not too late for her to start a new life. help her in reestablishing by getting out of her way. meanwhile get a girl friend who will let the strings be cut.
