How can I take charge to get my dream job?

I am a writer, a musician, a children's science enrichment instructor, but mostly, I want to work for Pixar or Dreamworks. I am writing an animated screenplay right now, but I want to work for one of these companies because my talent is taking my creative ideas and turning them into a reality.

But when it comes to an idea about how to work for one of these companies, I'm stumped! I've recently graduated college with a degree in Journalism and Theater.

I've worked for the same company for 5 years and am a very loyal employee. I started part time in school and am now full time and hold the third highest position in the company. I've done so much creatively for my company and it's truly a job that gives me the ability to use my talents. But it's too small of a business and the owner is too tight with money. I've negotiated all I can for a raise and nothing short of quitting would change his mind (and I'm not sure he would then until a few weeks after I left and the place fell apart). Writing and creativity is my best asset. I've applied for both of these companies, but how do you make a resume stand out these days? I'm willing to do whatever it takes, I just need some direction.

What would you suggest? What can I do?
