Question:

How can I take out cash from my credit card?

Ok, the numbers are only examples... I have actual £100 cash on my credit card that I want to take out so I won't actually *owe* any money when I do take it out.

My credit limit is £50. Would I be able to purchase a £100 item in one transaction? From what I can understand it means I won't go into 'credit', but I will exceed the credit 'limit'. Am I right, or does this still mean I can spend the £100 without the card being declined?

Also if I take out the £100 in cash, I will pay a handling fee of something like 2%, right, but will I have to pay the cash advance 20%~ish interest fee that this person mentioned in the link below?

  1. Purchasing anything with a credit card is costly unless you can pay it all back within the month. "purchasing", i.e. borrowing money with your credit card is doubly expensive and not to be recommended especially if you have a tight budget.

  2. Be careful if you need to apply for an online cash advance. Each state has different regulations, and I'm not sure about rules and regulations. Maybe you can find a local cash advance office so you can get help before taking out the loan. http://www.howtogetcashadvance.com
