You need the kind of camera that a newspaper photographer uses. call your local paper and ask them to come and do the shoot for you. I'm sure they will be thrilled to help..good luck!

Just take a regular digital photo and use Photoshop to stretch it in the axial direction. You can make your 2 inch beanus look 2 miles long.

Use a digital camera with a rotate screen and a close-up facility e.g. Canon S2, S3 - any in that series. Angle the screen and camera for the best view, get in close, and experiment.

Most camcorders have screens that can be angled, so if the definition is high enough, you could use the still image facility.
