Tell her you want to have a family meeting about the family finances in general. Get a specific agreed upon time. Be prepared with documentation.

Joseph T is correct.  Every couple should sit down every month and discuss their finances.  Claiming ignorance is immature and can lead to marital problems.  There are plenty of books written for beginners, stop at the local library and borrow one.
