The Internet's more/less a vendors tool, etc..for this (taxidermi, etc..), & not so much a "how-to" aid

  1. I don't really know about the skin.

If it were bones I'd tell you to bury them in your back yard and let the insects do their work. However, it's cartilage and you may find that the insects will eat that...

Sooo I guess I'm not really much help.

  2. I saw this on "Dirty Jobs"

Place the carcass in boiling tub of water to boil away the flesh from the bones.  Then when you have the skeleton mostly separated from the flesh, place it in a chamber full of insects (dermestid beetles) that will eat away the remaining flesh, leaving a clean skeleton.  The professional that does this for a living had a special chambers full of  beetles that eat away the final bits of flesh/tissue.  Then bleaching may be required.

I'm sure you have a vat of flesh-eating beetles laying around at home.  (Doesn't everyone?)
