How can I tell how much air I put into bike tires w/o overdoing them or not enough?

  1. Usually it's printed right on the tires themselves, in PSI. Use a bike pump with a pressure gauge, and stop pumping when it reaches the ideal range.

  3. get a pump with a decent air gauge on it. It's one of the best things I ever did for my bikes. Like the previous guy said, it should give you the pressure range on the side of the tire, but don't just put in 60 if you can't find it- look it up somewhere. For example, anything less than 90 on my road bikes get me pinch flats.

  4. its pretty hard to put too much in pretty much just do it till its hard and you cant squeeze the tire

  6. Most tyres have the recommended pressure on the side wall.

  7. on your tire it says the maximum and minimum psi, those are the numbers to fill them too. it if doesnt say then i would set it to 60psi
