The car started up w/ the doors locked just like a normal car starter but I cannot figure out how to do it again. I looked in the manual and it says nothing. I bought this car used.

  1. LOL - the same thing happened to us.

Try pressing "Lock" three times. That will start it but leave the doors locked.

On mine, I can press "Lock" three times, then "Unlock," and it starts with the driver's door unlocked. If I can press "Lock" three times, then "Unlock" twice, it starts with all the doors unlocked. It actually doesn't seem to matter how many times I press "Lock," as long as it's at least three.

Leave your AC up full blast when you get out, and it will be a little cooler when you get in. You could also use it to warm up the car in the winter - leave the heater on when you get out.

Edit: I have no idea how leaving the AC on can lead to mold in the system. First, by "leave it on" I mean leave it turned on so that when the car starts, so does the AC. When the car isn't running, neither is the AC.

Second, when the AC is running, it's removing moisture from the air that it blows, that's where the water under your car comes from - condensation that is routed out of the car. Less moisture = less chance of mold.

  2. on some honda models (same as acura) you press

    lock, unlock, lock

    and it starts

btw its not a good idea to leave your a/c on, it can lead to mold in the a/c system

  3. the  cars will start,
