How can I tell if I have an old or new Xbox 360 wireless controller?

You need to explain to explain your question better. All 360 wireless controllers are the same except some are different colors.

There is no model revision with Xbox 360 controllers. All controllers are the same.

If however you mean if you bought a used controller: Try to look into the seam that runs around the controller or the holes for the screws at the bottom. If you see dirt or or dried fat and sweat there, you have an old used controller.

The Oldest ones would have a shinny gun metal color under the controller, the more newer controllers come with a grey dull color at the bottom. But there is no revised version or anything different about them. If your talking about what you have boughten just look around it and see if dirty within it.
