  1. If your dog is not eating or drinking and having diarrhea, i would take him to the vet. dogs like to sniff around all the time. sometimes they do catch something in their nose which can cause discharge. if he is active and not sleeping, i wouldn't worry about it too much. you can always give your vet a call, they always offer advise through the  phone. hope this helps.

  2. doubt hes sick. dogs sneez a lot if theyre outside pups. f.y.i. to feel how cold/hot your dog is, feel the tips of their ears. it tells you exactly how cold/hot they are. maybe can even tell if they have a temperature!

  3. Your pup probably has an upper respiratory tract infection.  This can be caused by bacteria or viruses, and is usually highly contagious.  You should be careful not to expose your pup to other dogs.  This may go away on its own.  If it doesn't, go to your vet.

  4. Despite popular belief, a dog's nose isn't dry and warm only when they're sick. It could be from an allergy, that they simply feel down, or that they ate something they shouldn't have eaten. It's easy enough to take him to the vet for a consultation. Usually the consultation alone isn't too expensive. On top of that, it'll tell you why his nose is dry or warm!

  5. If a dogs nose is hot or dry it means they are sick. With my animals if I have a concern I always ring the vet for advice and then work out whether it's worth going in or not.
