How can I tell if my 1 year old needs glasses ?

He can't read a chart because...well he cant read or speak well when i show him books he puts his face close to the page and brings food and other items close to his face my other children never did this

Go to an eye doctor who specializes in children/Pediatric Optometrist . I took my girls when they were just six months old. A doctor who specializes in children's' eyesight will have a special technique. By the way, at the age of one, children don't have 20/20 vision. It improves with age - but still, I wouldn't put it off as it's best to catch these things early.
