I am planning to buy PSP component cable but I need to know if my TV is capable of progressive scan. Is there any way to find out. It's not HDTV.

  1. To support progressive scan, at minimum it needs to support component input (Red/green/blue video + red/white audio).

If it does, then you look for the specs of your TV either in your manual or the web.

  2. Most TVs with component inputs will accept progressive scan.  (If it is not HDTV, that would be 480p.)  However, the only way to be sure is to read the manual. If you do not have the manual, you may be able to get it from the manufacturer's wed site.
