How can I tell if my boyfriend is a pathological liar or know if he is just crazy and living in makebelieve ?

I have been seeing this man from work for over a year. We started out as friends and I always liked him. Then we started dating. Every time he makes any real plans to go out or whatever it never happens and he usually doesn't even show. Later he has a great story of what happened that prevented the date. The only thing is it is just happening all the time now.

Hmm well he could just be a liar. You should confront him about what happend and it is said that if he looks to the right when he tells his story then than means he's lying because when people lie they  are mentally abstracting the image in they're mind and think of the lie while they say it verbally, and they look of to the right while they do this. When he says something that seems like he's lying his hand gestures might not match his voice tempo and might be over the top with his movements. I read this all in a pshycolgy book.. So yeah just put him to the test  and see if he's lying.. Hope this helps? (:

pathological, irresponsible, crazy and why did you say you're still seeing him?  you must be getting something out of this pathetic situation.  the questions you should ask yourself is not why/what he is, but what/who you are?
