She's a pretty small cat, but its definitely possible that she's pregnant because we have a non-desexed male cat too... (who will soon be De-sexed) but yeah, is there a good way of telling if she is pregnant or not? thanks!

  1. have a good feel of her belly, it will be quite obvious!  Please get the cat neutered afterwards though!  It is so much easier and better for her health!

  2. UGH!  The thought of aborting kittens makes me want to kick the poster!  Anyhow .. she will begin to "show" with a firm, round belly - you can even feel the kittens move.  Cats have a gestational period of about 60 - 70 days.  Good luck.  Have them both fixed as soon as possible!

  3. If she was in heat and with a male cat, she is pregnant. Take her to the vet, NOW and they can remove the kittens and her uterus.

  4. At around 3 weeks into the pregnancy her nipples will become larger and pinker.  That's the first sign.

They're pregnant for 9 weeks and when they begin to show varies.  The vet can do an ultrasound to tell you for sure.

IMO, get them both fixed asap.  If she's pretty young the experience of having kittens can be rougher on her.  Shelters are already packed with kittens who will be put down because they can't find homes so spaying her now is the best thing for the overall population if you aren't planning to keep any possible kittens.

Offering them up as "free to good homes" can result in them going to people who will abuse them or sell them into animal testing - if she is pregnant and has the kittens it does take effort to find good homes.

best of luck either way, sorry to be a downer, there are just so many lonely ones out there right now
