  1. Each college has their own grading system.

    For Example:

    Mercer University has A, B+, B, C+, C; An A = 4.0, B+ = 3.5, B = 3, C+ = 2.5, & C = 2.0.

    UGA (and most state schools) have A, B, C. A = 4.0, B = 3.0, & C = 2.0.

The above example is for grading for individual classes & then a weighted average is taken (depending on how many hours the class is).

Though individual course grading may differ (At Mercer a 93 is an A while at UGA a 90 is an A), typically a 4.0 average = an A average & so on and so fourth (again, typically, not always).

So if your college gpa is a 3.8 then you have a B (this would be a B+ at Mercer).

    I hope this helps!

    Good Luck.

  2. Your college would have a site that tell you how your GPA is being calculated.

Anyway, here is a site for calculating your GPA. It work well for me.

  3. 4.0 is all A's, 3.0 is all B's, etc....for example, if your GPA is 3.2, it means you got mostly B's in your classes, but some A's. Or it means you got a lot of A's and a couple of D's. It's just an averaging game

  4. Your college's catalog will most likely be a good source for this.  If you don't have one you can probably access one on-line.  You may have to scroll through several pages if it's not clearly indicated in the contents, but it should be there.  As a rule of thumb though 4.00 is an A; 3.00 is a B; 2.00 is a C.  I'm carrying a 3.89 with 3 classes.  My grades are A,A and A-.  So 3.89 is still an A.

    Hope this helps.
