How can I tell my (casual, not close) friend that she talks too much?

Honestly, she always monopolizes conversations with long stories and seems to be oblivious to body-language cues indicating that no one is listening.

I think that it would improve her friendships, and I'm not just trying to spare myself from her rambling. It would be in her benefit.

Aaaand 'd like to tell her in an anonymous or at least non-awkward way.

  1. just try to interrupt her when she is talking. and be like hey lets talk about something else.  if not that then just be like you really like to expand your conversations huh? shell get the hint.

  2. Absolutely any way you do it is going to hurt her feelings so be careful and make sure you two are alone with no one around when you tell her.  Just explain to her that you are her friend but your tired of it.  Now this may cause her not to be your friend anymore.  If you don't want to take that chance then you will have to deal with it.

  3. be lke dang u talk alot

  4. You could just be honest. When she's talking, tell her in a nice way that it's your turn to talk. Say, "There's something I want to tell you about" and just start talking. Ask her questions with yes or no answers so she doesn't elaborate.

  5. Well, there isn't a really NICE way to do it anonymously, but I can think of a funny way. ;)

Get a picture of her obviously talking while no one is paying attention, and use a "Lolcats Builder" to add the caption, "Conversating - Ur doin it wrong!"

If you really want to help, you might just take her aside and let her in on the big secret everyone but her knows. Tell her that you love her stories, but sometimes she seems to be so wrapped up in telling them that she doesn't let anyone else share. Let he know that everyone still likes her, it's just that sometimes she can be overwhelming and that it is difficult to let her know when to "chill out" without embarrassing her. Worked for an acquaintance of mine!
