  1. Cut it in half and count the rings.

  2. Unfortunately you can't really with most fish - been to a few fish shops & asked how old some their display fish were & they didn't know for sure. They can generally only tell you if they either had the paperwork relating to the fish, or they had bred them themselves. Sorry this doesn't help, but I've been wondering the same for a while now too if it's any consolation!

  3. What fish are they?

  4. its all in the butt...

  5. lol and all the silly but amusing answers! you cant im afraid unless you know they're birthday =]

  6. You count the rings. Duh!

  7. how gray they are

  8. Ask it? Lol but to be honest thats a good question :P

But the bad thing is that I really don't know Lol

  9. Well I have Guppies 4 years old and now can't tell the new from the older ones.If you take good care of them they will always have bright color,be uniform in size, with no bulges or other deformity.Fish can live 7-10 years so its a question of care not age and yes they breed until they die.

  10. You l**k its belly if it tastes bitter than he is about 2 yrs or so you can use that as a gauge sweeter = younger bitter=older

  11. Good question! Well, if it's a livebearer, it will only live for a year or so. Other fish, it would be almost impossible. Sorry, I wonder that too. If it seems to be not as active as others it could be older. Sorry! I don't have a sure-fire answer!

  12. by counting the amount of years its been alive

  13. You can never really tell the age of a fish, you can estimate of course, but unless you were there the exact second it was born, and recorded it, you can never know exactly how old it is.

  14. How many teeth does it have.
