How can I tell the difference between genuine rock crystal beads and regular crystal beads?

I am trying to purchase a rock crystal rosary and would like to know how to tell the difference. I heard that you could tell by how fast they warm up when you hold them but can't remember the specifics.

Look for any small diagnostic inclusions, crystal inclusions, 2 or 3 phase inclusions, if you have access to any gemology tools it would help.
