How can I terminate an unfinished chess game other than cancel it?

Purposely lose or offer a draw.

You can just resign because you have other things to do or the game is too boring and you have only one life...so you lose the game.

You can ask for a draw which could be accepted (so nobody lost or won) or not...

You could just leave and then you will automatically lose on time after a specific time (usually 10 minutes), hoping for your opponent Internet connection to fail during that time...

If you leave, anybody can play in your place, if the room is not private, or your opponent could ask somebody to finish the game for you or resign on your behalf.
