When I plug it back in it gets very hot quickly and still doesn't work. Would it be the motor or something else in line with it. The model is Concord.

  1. Since it gets hot you have power.

If you have power to a motor and the motor doesn't run, it is bad.

  2. if its your condenser fan your talking about...and youve disconnected it, DO NOT run your ac, you can seriously damage your compressor, it will just run way to hot. dont mess around. replace the motor. you gotta spend some money if you wanna save some in the long run.

  3. That is the sound you get when the motor is starting to go bad or it is just locked up. You can try some WD-40 and spinning it by hand but you probably need a new motor.

  4. The fan motor is probably clogged with dust, dirt and junk. Take the casing off the AC and remove the motor. It should only take removing a few screws. Take the motor clean it and spray it with WD-40.
