How can I - the moderator - change the name of my group?

Click on Management on the left-hand side of your Group's web page.  If you don't see the Management link, then the Owner didn't give you sufficient priviledges to change the Group's name.  Then click on Description & Appearance under Group Settings.  Then click on Edit next to Web Adddresss.  Then change the name in the box to the new name you want.  I would suggest also clicking the "Notify members of group address change" box.  Don't forget to click Save Changes when you're done.

Note that any links and bookmarks from outside the group that existed before the name change will no longer work once you've changed your Group's name.  So you might want to make sure your Group's members don't mind a name change.

Only the owner can do it unless your box is checked to make group changes,on the members list.   Change it out on the management page..
