Question:

How can I tie my shoes tightly?

OK. I'm a junior tennis player and I recently bought some NewBalance 654 tennis shoes. They fit pretty perfectly, but always seem to be loose when I'm playing because it's so hard to to tie the shoes tightly. No, I'm not weak either. Should I take apart the shoelace and go from there?

Is there any type of way I can lace my shoes so they are extremely tight?

  1. Start at the eyelets closest to the toe and tighten each side all the way up.  Make sure you also pull the last loop tight before making the knot which also needs to be snugged up.

  2. You can buy sweet spots.  I use them for soccer. They are like large rubber bands, and they keep your laces down, and will help keep your shoes tight.

  3. hold it tighter when ur tying it??

  4. Pull hard when you on the first step (not too hard to kill your feet but firm)

then continue on w. your tying shoe technique

  5. There is a tool they make for hockey players to tie their skates tighter, its a little round hook that you but on your lace and pull and it tightens the skate(or in your case shoe) you should try out one of those, if you don't feel like buying that, as silly as it sounds, try an Allen wrench instead, that could do the trick. Start from the  bottom up!

    hope tennis goes well

  6. i have adidas barricade the 4th and tehy tie perfectly

    try buying shorter laces

or laces with ridges to keep it from slipping

    try double knotting

  7. Believe or not it's happen to me in the past and I found out if you put water on your shoelaces, by wetting your fingertips and moistening your laces, they will hold tight.
