How can I tighten the sandpaper belt on a Skil belt sander?

It is too loose and comes off as I sand. I bought the correct size, but the sander is old. Surely there is some way to adjust the belt tightness.

is it loose or working its way off....we call it tracking....on mine there is a slot on the front roller to put a flat s***w driver and u turn one on the sander and then turn the s***w driver and this will adjust the tracking of the new belt.....play with it u will get the hang of it.......just have to do it once not every time u use it until u change belts again....
