  1. Go to switchboard.com and use the "reverse lookup" feature.

  2. Go to Whitepages.com and do a reverse number lookup. If the number is not unpublished it will give the name and address of that number. Unless they have called numerous times, it may that they dialed your number by mistake.

  3. one of the best sites would be zabasearch and yellowbook!!

    http://zabasearch.com/

    http://www.yellowbook.com/search/findape...

if that doesn't do it ....try this!!

You never have to pay those exorbitant directory assistance charges again. Check out these sites to find telephone numbers for individuals, businesses and to look up zip codes:

    #       411.com - Business and residential telephone numbers, zip codes, public records on individuals, maps and local entertainment

    # switchboard.com - Find telephone listings for people, businesses, products and get e-mail addresses, maps and city guides

    # Who Where - Powered by Lycos, find phone numbers and e-mail addresses for your family and friends

    # Any Who - Find a person or business

    # Google Voice Local Search - Google's new free 411 service

    # Tellme - Microsoft's 411 service geared for mobile users

    # Free 411 - Free directory assistance

    # White Pages - Look up telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, area codes and websites

  4. First have you Googled the number? If that fails try a people search say of Yahoo and do a reverse search.

  5. Sites like theultimates.com, or superpages.com have reverse directories.  You type in the phone number and it will tell you who it is registered to if it is not an unlisted or cell number.  You can also just type 'reverse directory' into the search field on your search engine
