Question:

How can I train for boxing?

There are two reasons why I want to train for boxing at home. One, I am out of shape. I weigh 165 pounds; though some of it is muscle. I want to get in shape, so at least I can be ready for the training the coach will give me. The second reason is I might not have the time for boxing. School is getting near soon and I plan on studying really hard, while training at home. Well, if I actually train in a gym and I can't go to a class I don't want to be questioned why I couldn't be there. To me it kind of gets awkward.

Before any of you suggest purchasing a punching bag; I have to tell you something. I cannot afford a punching bag, because I had to buy new stuff for the new school year. I had to buy clothes, shoes, tools, etc. I don't have anywhere in the house to put one. The garage is filled with a car and cabinets. My room is not big, I have no basement, and my step-father will not let me put it in the attic.

Now that I told some facts of my life story I wanted to ask what can I do to train for boxing? I'm planning to buy some gear to spar with a few friends.
