  1. I have a untameable budgie I changed her name from Keets to Crazy Katie, that bird will bite the c**p out of ya.

  2. well theres a simple trick to get it from biting and screaming every time it screams or bites blow on him every time!sooner or later he will learn it is bad to do it he might not no better.to train her you gotta learn yourself keep like making her do something and tell her what its called and sooner or later shell be able to do it on demand, and blowing on him can also work for him pooping on you or anything els in your house tell it "no" when you do it so he nows what "no" means when you say it to your budgie so sooner or later it might even be able to say it good luck!

  3. the #1 way to gain the trust of your budgie is patience. you cant expect your bird to trust you within hours. you must work for the trust:)

a great way to gain trust is food. i suggest some apple slices(without seeds) or what ever you bird likes(as long as its reasonably healthy). start by siting by your cage and start reading or anything else and eat the apple. knowing birds it will probably get curious and come over. every time it gets closer give it some of the apple or whatever and you will slowly gain the trust.

if that doesn't work i highly recommend Chet. go to www.birdtricks.com and he can teach you a great technique called the power pause which deals with birds that are territorial around cages.

as for the food listed above, its ok but should not be substituted for the real diet. its really not healthy for the bird.

  4. There's some great taming information here: http://www.budgietalk.com/taming.html#ol...

  5. it's better to start when they're babies.. it'll be extremely hard to tame it now, and there's about a one in a million chance you're going to potty train it. it's not a dog.
