How can I train my voice to hit high notes?

I want to sing some songs like Keyshia Cole and she hits high note alot. So how can I train my voice to do that?

i would take singing lessons

they will work with u to get the rite pitch

if u dont wanna take lessons u should try warming up

like do a deer.....

This is something that's difficult to explain online. Your best and safest bet is to take voice lessons. Even a few, if you can't afford many. Reason I say that: you may not have the range to sing that high, and you could damage your vocal cords.

Also, a voice teacher can explain the proper breathing techniques (from the diaphragm, not the throat - as so many people tend to do w/out training) so you get the optimum range and volume.

If you're in school, you could talk to a music/choir teacher - or the choir director if you go to church/synagogue.

The music teacher who weighed in here offered excellent tips on singing high - dropping the jaw, relaxing it, singing "over" the note, etc. But again, please check with a professional to make sure you have the range to sing high notes safely.

well I'm not quite sure how to train it..

but i know when u want to try and hit high notes ...it helps to think a step above the note.. sometimes it helps to lift ur eyebrows a little and and open your mouth as if yawning

o and also when u practice ur scales ... go past the note u r trying to hit and try to hit a higher one...that way when u come back down to the one u were originally trying to hit it will be easier
