  1. If You HAve Nero StartSmart You Can Use That Just Save The File From MM Then Put In You're DVD Go To Nero And Click On The DVD Tab Then Go To Pictures NAd video ANd I Am Not Sure Of The Last Step Srry =(

    To Convert It Get A Program Called Kates Video Converter Its Free And Works Really Well

  2. Try DVD Flick - it's free.

  3. WMMaker video editing process

    ..Step 1. Capture/Import video files (+pics, music) to be edited

    ..Step 2. Edit- drag/drop files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles

    ..Step 3. Finish (render)- save Movie file, also save Project* file

    ..Step 4. Share-burn to CD (to DvD thru a DvD authoring app)

    *.mswmm is the file extension (not a video format) of saved WinMovieMaker PROJECT file, a 'work in progress' w/c archives links to the various video/pic/music files collected & edit history of the timeline. This is necessary so that if the editing process isn’t finished, the next session can resume w/ lastest saved *.mswmm file and allows for multiple re-edits until you're satisfied. Mswmm file is not valid for capture.

    Save PROJECT is true for most if not all video editing app so as to have just a small file to save on valuable disk space when the pc is not used for editing. It is next to impossible to finish a movie in just one sitting, maybe a change of mind or multiple versions (Director's cut?).

    In Step 3, WMM allows the user to choose video format, name for the MUVEE file & folder destination. If there was no .avi or .wmv file after save/render, there are 2 possibilities:

    1. Step 3- Finish Movie- SAVE TO MY COMPUTER (w/rendering) was not done… OR

    2. the editing process could have been finished but the MUVEE .avi or .wmv file could not be located.

    If so, RE-EDIT… just double click on the *.mswmm file to re-open the PROJECT. Complete the 3rd step- FINISH/ save to my computer... and you're ready to test your final muvee, upload or share. Hope you have not deleted, renamed or moved any file used during edit so that the PROJECT links wud still be of value.

    Step 4. Download Dvd Flick as recommended by Iridflare, add the final MUVEE .avi or .wmv and burn to DvD

  4. You need a DVD burner first and foremost. And you need to have a DVD burning program such as NERO.
