So I record movies off AMC and want to copy them to a DVD disc so I can take them to the gym and watch on my portable player. But when I try to do that it tells me the movie/recording is copy protected. I have a Toshiba recorder. Is there anyway around this?

  1. I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

    1. Download ConvertXtoDVD here:

    http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/con...

It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, mp4, avi to dvd

    2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

    3. Insert blank DVD

    4. Click "Convert"

    5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,

for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.

  2. Hi bobson58 ,

You have to bypass the copy protection to copy the programs.

A good device that will do that is the Digital Video Stabilizer. It works like a charm and is only $25. Go here to read about and see an example - http://www.qualitekindustries.com/vidsta...

  4. No.  "Copy protected" is designed to prevent exactly what you are trying to do - violate copyright laws.
