Hello :)

My PC recently went toes up...and I hadn't backed up my files. Dumb, I know.

I decided to get a mac to replace it, since I know that they have a much better reputation. The problem is, I'm very unfamiliar with the mac format!

I just got the computer today, and I want to put my music on it. I have all the music/videos on my iPod. I was hoping that when I plugged my iPod into my iTunes it would give me the option to transfer everything onto the computer, but alas, it didn't.

How can I do this?

NOTE: I am not able to go back into the PC and back up my itunes. the PC is 100% dead.

  2. I'm not sure if this is possible since Mac and PCs use a different format type for the iPod.  You can try a free program called Senuti which should allow you to transfer files from your iPod to a Mac.

  3. You can try this software to backup songs, videos, photos in iPod to PC, copy iPod songs, videos, photos to new ipod, computer or notebook.

  5. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.
