  1. you have to have a firewire card, a dvd writer drive and capture/writing software. If you have capture software and a firewire card, you connect your firewire cable to the camcorder and pc. Then you put in play mode. Launch your capture software and it should take control of the camcorder and allow you to capture. Once captured in a digital file, use your writing software (same as capture software, such as Nero 6) to write the dvd.
