How can I transfer video files from my Sony Camcorder disk to Power Point?

I have already finalized the disk. When the disk is in my computer, the file extensions are .vob .ifo and .bup. When I try to open them through power point, the error message is

"Power Point couldn't insert a movie from the selected file. Either the file is non-standard, or Quick Time is not installed properly." HELP. I need this video for a presentation

  1. VOB is not supported by MS Powerpoint

    - convert .vob video files to avi or wmv... try Prism or Super video converter

    - then, insert movie from file
