  1. Set up a large Canopy and hang some decorations on it.

If you have a fence, put some things up on the fence. Hang fancy lights on your back porch.

  2. You can get some very big throw pillows and scatter them around the pool and make that a lounge area.

Then, get string lights, like clear, Christmas string lights, or even those that are lanterns and hang them around the pool and the yard, it will add a nice touch and make it more of a club atmosphere.

You can also get some lanterns or even mason jars and hang them from the trees and put some battery operated candles in them to add more of a party/club mood.

Make sure to add LOTS of the string lights and string laterns, etc.  that will add a big party and club mood.

I would make a separate dance and NOT the pool.   I would get some kind of plywood and put it together in your yard and make that the dance floor.  You can then paint it a solid color or black and white etc.

For the pool, get a few inflatable boats, fill them with ice and put the drinks in there!  Put some sodas and water in them, of course, have some drinks available that aren't in the boat, but for effect have one or two inflatable boats with drinks.

Then, in the pool, you can find some things to float in there for effect.  They have light up orbs you can buy.  Go to grandinroad.com, horchow.cow. or check sharperimage.com  places like that, they are round orbs that change color and you can use them all summer long after her party, so it's not like once her party's over they are done and it's a one time deal, you can use them every year.  Buy the orbs and float them in the pool and it will look awesome!

You can also buy some nice silk like fabric and decorate with that.  If you have a patio or some trees, weave it through the branches and make it look kind of Moraccan.  Make it moody looking to make a club mood.

Also set up some chairs, regular chairs, lounge chairs, and even tables and chairs.  Make sure to have the pillows, they do make waterproof pillows which again, can be used yearly, put them around the pool and make it so the club theme is all around the yard and not just around the dance floor.

You can also go to Orientaltrading.com and get those bracelets and necklaces that glow in the dark when the kids snap them and you can give them out to the kids.  There's tons of things there and they're very inexpensive!

I hope some of these ideas help and that your daughter has a great party and a very Happy Birthday!

  3. hand lights - Christmas lights, balck lights, flashing and non, rope lights, etc.  have an area set up like a bar, wher they can get thier drinks from. maybe rent a dance floor, depending on your budget.  sorry, thats all the ideas i have. good luck!

  4. If you got the money for it, get a heavy plan of glass about a foot longer and wider than you pool and set if over the pool so the kids can dance on water, if its an in ground one. And if its lit, even better. Start the party just after sun down, get a black light and hand stamps that florese and let the kids get in that way. Mix drinks for them (non-alcholic of course) and just let them act a little grown up. Get a camera, and act like the papazzie, which insures that you get pics, but don't look to cheesy run up to people saying smile. have a dress code and inforce it at the door.

And if you can find them (try party city or spencers) get some glow sticks for fun on the dance floor.

    hope this helps,
