Question:

How can I transmit video from my computer to my TV?

Basically I'm looking to wirelessly transmit a video signal from my computer to my TV. I've seen the Audiovox Terk system, but that only takes RCA composite input. Our computer room is about 100' feet away from our entertainment center and hard wiring a connection would be inconvenient to say the least. So, I would like to take the video output from my computer and somehow transmit it to my TV for display. Any ideas out there?? Thanks for any help.

  1. If you want to stream music/video content to your living room, you can try Apple TV.  It has HDMI output, and works with wired and wireless networks.

The only drawback is that you have to use iTunes compatible media formats - but there are plenty of content available, as well as different convertors.

There are also new Network/Wireless HDMI products coming out - like this http://www.networkingaudiovideo.com/arch...

Tel me some more about WHAT is it you trying to do

  2. well if you have a gigabyte network theres no need to make it wireless, the only thing you need is a pc with windows xp media center or windows vista premium or higher and some sort of media extender in the tv it could be a media extender, an xbox 360 or a PS3 then you can stream audio, video, pictures and a lot more to the tv even high definition via your home network.
