How can I treat my own stab would?

I fell in my kitchen and a knife got stuck in my arm on the top by my shoulder if I go to the hospital there going to call the cops. Its not bleeding that much and it just hit muscle. How can I treat it I poured some vodka on it So what can I use to stitch it up.

Do you have any Super Glue in the house?  Hospitals use super glue to close the skin of minor injuries.  Just don't glue your fingers to your arm.

By the way.  That story of falling in the kitchen is lame.  If you got to the hospital, it is best to say nothing or have a better story.  :-)

how ever this happened you need urgent medical attention. - forget the fuzz!

if you have hit a muscle you could reck ya shoulder, how do you know what you hit and what you didnt - blade injuries are very misleading.

the smallest of blades will kill you - not to mention the infections you can get - at the very least you need antibiotics to keep in free from infections!

and how do you think you can stiches it with one hand!!!!  

bite the bullet and just go to the hospital you dont have to say how you did it!!!

Try drinking the vodka too, it will help the pain.

And cut off the blood circulation to the arm that should slow the bleeding.

Or better yet, go to the hospital. Have someone else drive though.

It's illegal for hospitals to call the police to report patients for illegal activities (unless it's child abuse). Otherwise, it would discourage people from seeking medical treatment. Put gauze or a towel over the wound, and wrap it up with an ACE bandage, or something that applies pressure. Get to the nearest Emergency Room as soon as you can! Infection can easily set in and spread to the blood stream for deep wounds like that.

Hospitals don't call the cops anyway, otherwise this would put people off getting help in an emergency.

I know this isn't the answer you want but you need to go to the hospital and get someone to stitch it up for you. it isn't safe to stitch it up yourself.

if you're going to act macho, it's not working. why should you be scared of the cops? they just want to make sure you weren't attacked in any way. just tell them it was an accident and get some proffesional medical assistance. vodka doesnt help. it just makes it painful.

Well I find it suspicious that you are afraid of seeing the po po ... especially since you claim this was a kitchen accident.

You need to go to an ER like it or not. I won't get into the gross details of what WILL happen to you if you don't get the proper treatment.

Suck it up and go.

Clean the wound with alcohol (isopropol from the drug store).

Hold it together as best you can.

If you have nothing else, dental floss will work as stitches.

Thread the needle & start stitching.
