  1. Don't see an optometrist and don't see or listen to an optician. See an Ophthalmologist, a real eye doctor. They can diagnose and treat your eye. Pink eye or conjunctivitis is usually caused by a bacteria or a virus. Get some eye drops and it will help you get better.

  2. Pink eye does not go away quickly.  It will take a few days, and if it is bacterial pink eye, then you will need to see a doctor.

Pink eye can show up when you least expect it, and it is very contagious. There is more than one type of pink eye, and how you treat it depends on the type. If it is bacterial you need antibiotic ointment or drops. There is no particular treatment for viral pink eye. If it is an allergy that is causing your difficulty you may need anti-inflammatory medication or antihistamines. Frequent hand washing is crucial to prevent spreading the virus or bacteria, depending on which type you have.   There is also something called CLARE, or contact lens induced acute red eye. Sleeping in contacts makes the eye more susceptible to inflammation/infection.

  3. You're optician can give you medication for it to go away quickly. Otherwise, just let it run it's course. There is no way to quickly gt rid out of without going to a doctor.

  4. Need it gone fast? See your optometrist, they can prescribe medication that will make the symptoms go away by wed. but the infection may be there still for a couple more days, be sure to follow their direction on the medication to ensure it's completely gone and you don't get the symptoms back~
