How can I trim a few seconds at the beginning and end of a video?

Question

I have just filmed a great little video of my little man, kissing himself in a mirror, but I want to cut a few seconds off the beginning and end off the video, as I was setting up the cam at the start and going back to my computer at the end to stop recording

Is this possible?

I have never used this program but it is free and I have heard good things about it.  Make sure that anything that you download is scanned for viruses before opening.
