  2. Your baby is sleeping the normal amount of time he should!   Two hours is the norm for a baby to sleep at that age esp considering he is a preemie! They have tiny bellies and can only go so long without filling it back up! Be patient!

  3. Are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding? Breast fed babies are supposed to get up that often unfortunately, lol. But if you're bottle feeding, try to start a routine with him. I had to go back to work when my little man was only a month and a half old so when he was about a month we started putting him in his crib instead of his bassinet and he went from sleeping an hour to sleeping for 3 or 4 hours at a stretch!!! Now hes 2 months 3 weeks old and he's in his bath the same time everynight 9:30 and we do a massage, eat, read a story and hes off to sleep. He isn't all the way asleep when i lay him in his crib a lot of nights but he's in his routine now so he doesn't cry anymore. And last night he slept from 10pm to 4:20am!!! As for him being a light sleeper, he used to startle hisself so i play a cd of classical lullabies when we get ready for bed and read and now that it's so familiar, it lulls him to sleep. Hope this helps! Best of luck, and hang in there it WILL get easier i promise!!! ; D

  4. He will sleep longer when he gets older. and since hes a preemie he needs to eat often. you just going to have to deal sweets

  5. Your baby's sleeping patterns sound perfectly normal for a breastfed baby of that age.

As he gets older, he will start to go longer between feeds. Babies have tiny stomachs and breastmilk is digested very quickly, meaning they are hungry again quite soon after their last feed.

You'll just have to be patient...he'll start to sleep longer when he's ready.
