How can I turn my TV on??

Question

My Dish Network remote is broken so I can turn my tv on and get to the blank screen with the Dish Network logo floating around and under it it says "press select to continue" but I can't press select to turn it on because my remote is broken! Is there any other way? We have another tv and we tried switching the cables on the box so that the control for that room would work but we couldn't figure out how to do that and make it work. Is there any other way I can turn my TV on?

(I'm sorry - but that was such a straight line I could not resist).

BestBuy and other places have RCA universal remotes for $9, $13 and $20 each.  These will all work with Dish box's. (I got tired of the kids loosing the Dish remote so I bought these for family use and locked the original remote away.)
