How can I turn negative thinking into positive thinking?

  1. It takes time. It took a long time to develop the habit of unhealthy thinking and it will take time to turn it around. Start out by not thinking or saying anything bad about yourself anymore.

Hi there, it's very possible to do if you really want to.  Our thinking is habitual, it's just a habit.  Once you take the time to develop the habit auto pilot takes over and you just think that way naturally from that point.  The work is you have to break the negative habit and we know how tough breaking a habit can be.

    Good luck, motivation is the key, really study the benefits of positive thinking and this will give you motivation.  I have a website with some how to's and tips you might find useful.

  3. Ask yourself this, in each case.  "Is this right mindfulness, or wrong mindfulness?"  Make it answer truthfully.

       Wear a thick rubber band on your wrist.  When you are doing the negative thinking you object to you, pull the rubber band up and snap it.  Then make the mind think something positive instead.

  4. Compare every negative thing thats happened to at least you are not a starving war child who had to fend for them self.

  5. It is easier than you think.  It will take time and a lot of practice.

    1. Tell yourself "I can do this", "I will not be held back", "It will be a Great morning."

    2. When you think something negative, push it out of your mind... say " I am not going to listen or do this/that", etc.

    Practice and remember God loves you and wants you happy.

  6. If you are a Pessimist, then you can't. LOL

    Seriously though...simply make a Conscious effort to catch yourself when you are being negative and slap yourself yelling, "quit it!" Immediately afterward think happy thoughts and touch yourself in a nice way to Positively Reinforce the good thoughts. Given enough practice and time your brain chemistry will change or you'll die from blunt force trauma to the face and it won't matter anymore.
