How can I un-clog my toilet?

I've tried a plunger and draino no luck, what can I do?

well draino doesnt work on hard stuff only hair and it doesnt work that good anyways. Either go buy yourself a closet auger or call a plumber

Go to your hardware store, pick up a "Closet Auger" and a wax ring, both should be in plumbing. Take the toilet up, and put it upside down in your tub or on a bag or box or something (Do not let the bottom of the toilet touch anything, you will never get that wax up.) Shove the closet auger down the hole and see it you can hit what's clogging it. Then scrape up the old wax seal with a putty knife or screwdriver, apply the new wax ring, and re set the toilet.

If that doesn't work and you're on a septic tank, there's a small chance your leech field is saturated. Depending on how your plumbing is laid out, it's possible for it to only be affecting your toilet for the time being.

Hi, firstly there is an inspection opening immediately outside of your toilet wall, it will probably be buried so you will have to dig for it. Open that up and see if it's full, if not the blockage is in the pan, try a getting a BIG hand full of toilet paper, ensuring water level is at it's minimum,and fill up a 4 gal(10 litres) of water throw that on top of paper and that should cure your problem. If its 'downstream' and you can't see anything obvious call a plumber.Good luck

1.  Is the toilet the only unit that is clogged up?

2.  If its the only unit that is clogged up and you don't want to bring in a plumber, pull it off the floor and take it outside and clean it out.  If you do this, make sure you put something over the hole and put a new wax ring seal under the toilet when you put it back in.  When you find the obstruction, take a hose to it and make sure its ok.  A lot of times its just a little thing and you can't get to it with your snake.

Draino is no good!

Try a Closet Auger or toilet augar as some people call them.

If that does not work and if there is no clean out, call a plumber.

Pull toilet and run a one inch drain cleaner with cutting blades.

What was put down there? Do you have children that possibly put a toy in there and flushed it.

Is it just waste? If it's just waste you need to use time and persistence to plunge and plunge. Take some time off and come back and resume plunging. If it's really clogged than plunging it 5 or 6 times wont do it.

You can try a snake that you can purchase from the local hardware store for like 20 bucks if the plunging doesn't work.

Make sure you have a quality plunger and not the cheap ones.

turn tub on and let run, if it doesn't fill up and make toilet gurgle, then get a good quality closet auger and use it to unstop toilet. Some times hard stool (p**p) gets stuck in part of toilet and a plunger won't work
