How can I upload a new file without an announcement going out about it?

The readers of our e-newsletter will get it anyway, and I want to minimize their "junk mail." I thought that by not checking any of the boxes accompanying the upload process, a message wouldn't go out automatically. I was wrong.

well what this other person said don't check the don't send to the group..heheh that doesn't work.. I own and run all my own group and even if i check it.... it will show that in the group and if i have it uncheck it still sends it to the group..so either way it doesn't work..it will still send a msg to everyone inbox and still show it has been uploaded to the group..

In the future when you are creating a new file, before actually uploading the file from your computer, scroll down to near the bottom of page in the "Notification" area, do NOT select "Send a message to the group announcing this file".

Play with it and you will see what I'm talking about.
