Is there a way I can fix it ok is there a cheap program I can buy that can handle it?

  1. Download and install Super (freeware) then use it to convert your .mov files to .wmv.  These will work in Windows Movie Maker.

  2. Get a card reader...

Then... take the card out of the camera, put it in the card reader and copy the video files.
