Electical appliances use when traveling to the US. Need a transformer or converter maybe but I can't find anywhere that sells something like that so I can use my cell and laptop in the US. Everything they sell is to convert US appliances to other countries!!! :(

  1. Yes, here is the place you can buy it.

  2. Your laptop and cell wont need a transformer. They have switch mode power supplies and will work on both 240v and 115v, so NZ and US. You just need a travel adaptor.

  3. They will have converters at the American airports and malls because the NZ appliances won't work in the US

  4. Do you have a Dicksmith Electronics Store or something like that?

I could tell you 5 places within a 15 minute drive from my computer chair that you could get what you need. I'm in Australia though....

  5. Most airports will sell this or eBay.

  6. Are you in NZ now? Go to d**k Smith either online www.dse.co.nz or their actual shop. You can buy  a converter easily enough - just make sure that you tell them that you want a converter and not just an adapter.

Oh, and your laptop should switch power supplies easily enough. Best thing to do though is to find out if you need a screwdriver to move the little button! You don't want to find yourself hunting for a little screwdriver when you have arrived.
