(I have an amateur radio license and am really interested in being able to receive on these bands using my CB.

Nevertheless, I want to modify the CB radio to also transmit on these bands just to see if it is technically possible as has been reported in other forums :)

  1. You cannot transmit on 11 meters with a CB.  Also, you require an amateur radio license to operate on 10 meters.

  2. I did a quick eBay search, and they sell manuals for around $12.00.  This might be a step in the right direction.  I also found a link on eBay that give some calibration information.

Contrary to the last guys posting, it is not illegal to transmit in the 10meter frequency with a modified CB rig.  You do need to have an Amateur Radio license.  The Amateur radio service has "NO" type acceptance for its bands.  This means what ever you want to cobble together, and if you are licensed to transmit on that band, you can.
