How can I use a proxy server to view movies on netflix.com from Mexico?

Question

I know that Netflix to stream the movies you can't do that outside of the U.S. Well I'm going to be in Mexico for a month on business and I would like to be able to watch movies.. I read that you can do this using a proxy server.. What is that, how do I do it, and is it illegal?
