How can I use yahoo group for my weekend tennis game sign up?

1. Every Tuesday one person send to email to 10-12 person asking for who is going to play this weekend.

2. Who ever is interested start answering to latest email and add their name to list if they are going to play.( Saturday -- Sunday). And reply goes out to all.

3. So from group of 10 every one reply's to email. Then there will be total of 100 email to find out who is going to play this weekend.

4. And first guys tally latest email and send reply to all 10 with list who will be playing Saturday.. Sunday..(You can play 2, 4, 4+2, 4+4 player etc)

Listowners have several options in how the group works; use them to your advantage.

Set the group to include the database feature. Everyone should understand that if they sign up for digest style mail or read at the website then they may not get the info.  

(One list I belong to has a second group/list that uses the database only -- no messages. The main list has chatty messages, photos, links, etc., but each person is responsible for their own entries on the database.)

Use the group email to notify everyone on Tuesday. Include a link to the database for signups.

If one person is in charge of the scheduling, then make a deadline for signups. The scheduler can then use the database to coordinate the players and send out one email (maybe using the Special Notices feature) as the final schedule.

Be consistent; first email on Tuesday, deadline for signup on XXXday, final schedule emailed out on XXXday.

Post the guidelines on the group's home page. Make each person responsible for updating themselves on the database.
