How can I volunteer for grand jury duty in Santa Ana?

I am now retired and want to volunteer for grand jury duty, preferably in Santa Ana because that is my place of residence and would be most convenient to appear.

Once a year the county asks for volunteers, and the grand jury will be selected from that pool.  They will meet in the county seat.

I live in the OC, and I think that you first need to be summoned for jury duty.

Otherwise, I'm sure that if you contact the courts and explain your situation, they might have some way of signing you up.
