How can I volunteer for jury duty in the state of California.?

Although most people hate jury duty, I actually enjoy the process and I have learned quite a bit about our justice system.

You cannot volunteer to be on a trial jury, but you can make an application to be on a Grand Jury.  If you do a search for "grand jury" and "application" and the name of your county you should find the form.  It is not a high probability that you would be selected, but there is always a chance.

You cannot volunteer. You are selected. Register to vote. Have a valid driver's license. You must be a citizen of the United States to register to vote, other than that, there  is no impediment to serving on a jury. It is an interesting process, very educational, I highly recommend it.
