Question:

How can I wake myself up in the morning?

I can't sleep early, no matter what, the latest I can sleep is at 4.00am. But If i go bed at about 2.30am, and get up at about 8.10am. How can I ''force'' myself awake? Will splashing cold water on my face help?

  1. awr, you should really sleep its very important for your body. try going to be early or something. what i do to wake up in the morning i go in the garden and just breathe the cold air in and just walk around a little bit. You could get a towel and wet it under a tap and rub your eyes with it that would be less of a shock to your body then throwing cold water on your face :)

  2. do you wake up to alarm?

    if you do,

    put you alarm away from your bed,

    that's what i do.

    i have a bunk bed,

    +& i put my alarm on the other side of the room,

    so either way,

    i have to climb down,

    +& turn it off.

    you could also try sitting outside for lie 10 miutes,

    befre you gety really,

    once the sun hits me,

    it wakes me up,

    because it's so bright,

    +& awake outside.

    also,

    i had the same exact problem,

    i had to wake up at seven,

    but i didn't go to sleep until 3-5.

    i also set the alarm an hour early,

    so i had to keep getting up,

    +& i always hit snoze,

    so every 10 minutes,

    it went off for an hour straight,

    +& i always gave up,

    +& got up.

  3. Loud Alarm. Very loud. So loud it will wake your dog, who will then spend the next two hours prying for you attention...

    Slobber, whining, barking, paws on bed, scratches at door... one or two of those should get you up.

I have the exact same problem, if you go to bed late as in 3 - 4 am late, set your alarm for about 9 at the latest and then put it so you can't reach over and hit the snooze button, this will make you get out of bed and if you go to the bathroom, showering, using the toilet, brushing your teeth will help to wake you up. Another benefit of this is the fact that you will be tired at night enabling you to get to sleep and wake up earlier!

    And eating a cold breakfast like cereal, coffee and oatmeal make me sleepy.

  6. Better than the cold water in the face technique is just a nice warm shower.  

    Sure it seems like warm water will make you more sleepy - but the process of cleaning yourself and stepping out will make you wake up and feel refreshed :)

    Another good one is to put the alarm clock across the room from yourself, you'll wake up more as you have to get up and treck across the room tos hut it off.

I love my sleep too haha.  I would fall asleep at like 12 then i would have to get up at 7 the next morning for school.  I tried one tecneak and it worked great.  put your alarm clock on the opiside side of the room.  Sounds wierd i know but it will force you to get up out of bed hen go to the bathroom and splash cold wtaer on ur face ahha. you shouldnt be geting to sleep that late.  Maby you have a sleeping isure talk to your doc.  But the best waiy is top put ur alarm clock on the otehr side of the room trust me it works awsome!Hope this helped.xoxo

  10. Got to bed earlier, if you are going to

    sleep that late then you'll never wake up

    naturally early.

    If you can't get to sleep early go see a sleep consultant.

    Or get a alarm clock.

    It's about having discipline too, saying to yourself "I need to get up now." and actually doing it.

I'm an insomniac, so i rarely sleep but it catches up to me so i tried to get in a rhythm to go bed at a decent time that allow me to feel rested and then eventually trained myself to get out of bed at a certain time, many use an alarm clock but i had my dad do it for me and i'll get up and either turn the tv on to watch a certain program or my ipod would be set up the night before to start on some music i like, then ill go toilet and refresh, after this i would make a coffee and tea then i was set, at first i be tired but as the morning progressed i felt better and more refreshed

  14. Set A Loud Alarm Clock But Leave It On The Other Side Of The Room So You Have To Get Out Of Bed To Get To It.

    Then As Soon As Your Up Put On Some Happy Music :)

    And Go For A Shower And At The Beggning And End Of It Blast The Water Really Cold.

    The night before tell yourself: I call myself to attention I am going to wake up at so-and-so time tommorrow.

    then sooner or later i nthe night or early in the morning youre going

    to have to go to the washroom.

    get a super loud alarm clock

    or leave the blinds open so the sun shines in :O

    wash your face with a cold flanel it gets the sleep out of your eyes. Have a drink of something i just have some orange or blackurrant then i just sit down for a while and watch tv or something.
